How to be successful in Japan? Markus Haas, Sales Director Asia at Herrmann Ultraschall, lectured at the recent breakfast talk “Asa no Kai” of the German Japanese business association (DJW = Deutsch-Japanischer Wirtschaftskreis).
He talked about his learnings from working with Japanese for the past 10 years. Three key points are considered essential when entering the Japanese market:
- Adopting to the needs and expectations of Japanese customers with regard to language, time-management and technical support.
- Being present on a frequent basis aspiring a regular exchange of information, experience and research results.
- Pursuing a personal contact to the customer and building up an efficient business network.
