Detection of coronavirus in about 45 minutes

Cepheid, one of our key PLASTICS customers, is a company who specializes in developing molecular diagnostic testing solutions. Their machines, cartridges and chemistry allow for fast, accurate testing that can be implemented anywhere in the world.

Currently, a COVID19 rapid test has been developed. The test enables the detection of the pandemic coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in about 45 minutes, with less than one minute preparation time for the sample.

Both the cartridge and valve are applications that we supply ultrasonic welding machines, tooling and ultrasonic engineering for.
